This report regarding proposed Hate Crimes legislation is not from a radical talk show host, but from a US Congressman, addressing his peers about the dangers of such a bill. Unfortunately the bill passed the House without amendment, and is headed to do the same in the Senate.

On this day, the 36th anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, let every follower of Christ cry out to God that innocent blood be purged form this land. Let us commit to do more to speak out for the unborn, because it is obvious that the official position from the White House will be to go in the opposite direction. Just hours after becoming president, the Whitehouse.gov website has laid out Barack Obama's agenda. Under a section of that agenda titled Civil Rights is a very detailed outline of what Obama plans to do for the homosexual community. and the abortion rights people.
We must pray, and then put our feet, our voices and our pocketbooks to those prayers.

It is absolutely amazing what has happened in the past 24 days. Look at what Israel did on December 17, 2008 and what Hamas did just a few days later. They announced the end of a cease fire agreement that they had never kept, and now there are escalating hostilities taking place in and around Gaza, coupled with rocket attacks from the north, out of Lebanon. Two events were competing for national attention today. 1) The anniversary of the infamous 9-11 terrorist attacks on our nation (the enemy from without). Click for a reminder. 2) The response to President Obama's address to congress concerning health care reform. Don't let Congressman Wilson's outburst, when he openly said to the president "You lie!" tempt you to think that the president was actually telling the truth. Watch this video, then Think, pray and act.
As far as September 11th being a national day of service, let all followers of Jesus Christ rise up and serve the Lord. In so doing, we will serve our fellow man in such a way that brings Him glory, and not any man or political party.
